I have an '03 Ford 5.4 SMB RB with Dynatrac front end. I broke the track bar on Saturday (6/6/09). It is Sunday (in Utah) and I need to know where I can get a replacement ASAP.
Do you have a quigley or smb conversion? I have a 2001 quigley, and I believe that is one of the parts that I have to go through them for. Thats the only downfall to these vehicles is the CUSTOM aspect were parts can be specific and hard to get in a hurry!
Quickest bet is to pull it off and get it welded up and then do a replacement (if needed) when you get home. Lots of folks have welders, so you should be able to find one by just asking around. Good luck....

Yep, have a local 4x4 shop in Moab weld it for a temp fix. Not sure if they do welding but I had a positive experience with the ASAP auto repair south of town on the east side of the hwy. SMB will be open on Monday and can probably overnight a replacement to you.
Interestingly....the SMB website is down. I've called but the voice mail is turned off at Fresno. Is Heber still doing the Dynatrac conversion at Fresno?
I just noticed from another post that you are in GJ now. Barney Brothers Off Road is pretty good at fixing issues and they treat their customers very well, might give them a try.
Conclusion: Thanks for the replies. My SMB drove ok under 50 mph so I was able to get around. Because the ring on the track bar is relativly thin, I did not attempt to have it welded. The bolt on the dif side that it mounts to had become fused with the space. No matter what I did it would not come out. I had to cut the bolt w/sazall. I called Fresno SMB. They sent a new one with new bolts. Thanks to Peter and Heber I got it in 3 days.
