Cool While your at it there are three upgrades you might want to consider if money is no object . Prosteer HD ball joints, Dynaloc hubs, and 35mm axles. Sportsmobile spec'd the ProRock60 axle with 30 spline outer shafts. 35mm is of course stronger but allows more locker options or a Detroit/Eaton Trutrac.

Thank, Joe.
I wouldn't say money is NO object...but it's probably not the main one. In addition to the gain in stopping power, I'm looking at adding Deavers to mollify to improve the overall ride, so this will be an expensive upgrade(s) project by the time I'm done.
I'll check out your recommendations!
Thanks again.

Nice. I also did Deavers. But I'd take a pass on the Bilsteins that Jeff spec's with his spring package. I've had nothing but issues with them nor are the custom-valved for his springs.

I converted to the F450 calipers and rotors from Dynatrac with my original E350 vacuum boost and it works well. Some day I will convert to hydroboost so I can ditch the trouble prone vacuum pump and get a little more brake pressure in the deal. You can run the ventilation system on a small electric pump.

Just curious but we're the calipers you sourced from dynatrac OEM? They make a caliper upgrade for Jeeps (ProGrip) but I'm pretty sure the calipers they provide with the "SMB P60F Big Brake Upgrade" are Motorcraft.

I got the calipers from Dynatrac and they were the Ford parts.
Dynatrac made the new steering knuckles but most of the parts transferred over from my old setup including steering arm, axles and axle stubs, warn hubs and ABS sensors.

And another nagging question. How long from placing the order with dynatrac did it take before you received you parts? The reason I ask is it took 3 months to get dynatrac rotors from the SMB store which they of course attributed to the lag time with sourcing it from dynatrac.

It took about a week to get the parts from Dynatrac. That was about 2 years ago.

Which Hawk pads? LTS or Super Duty?
I'm about to swap one of the two onto my van now that it handles well enough to go faster, it really needs to stop better.

Opinions may vary but you want the LTS. The Superduty have more friction material, will be dustier, and will eat though your rotors faster. They are more aggressive than what Ford markets for the superduty and are meant for vehicles pulling heavy trailers. Just my 2 cents.
Hawk just started making the pads for the bigger E series brakes this year.
