4x4 conversion in San Diego or Orange County CA

I have been lurking for a while and am interested in buying a 4x4 Van, something year 2k or above, under 100k miles and 4x4 but I am having a hard time finding exactly what I want in my price range. I have seen several vans that will work and can not seem to find any information on 4x4 conversion in SOCAL. Does anyone know of any reputable places?

If you find a good 4x4 shop in So Cal you could always have them install
a kit from U joint Offroad. Whitefeather conversions up in Red Bluff Cal.
may be another choice. Their conversion differs from Ujoints as they use
a coil spring front suspension where as Ujoint uses a leaf spring front
suspension. Maybe someone here that has either a Ujoint or a Whitefeather
conversion can help you out. I'm sure you'd get a great conversion with
either one of those guys.

We can (and have many times) shipped complete conversions to CA. I have a few shops that can do it, shoot me an email and I'll pass the info!

Re: 4x4 conversion in San Diego or Orange County CA

Why not simply ship your Van to Chris at Ujoint to have it done.
You can either have it shipped home or drive it back.
My Van is at Ujoint right now. I am in So. Cal also.
I have mine shipped and will be driving it back.

What is great about having Chris do it is that he has done 100's of them in his shop and will get it perfect. Plus any hiccup's are solved by the mater himself.

the biggest plus is that he has so many other goodies that you may be inclined to add while it is
there that will save you time and money from having them done down the road.

I am having about 9 other items done to my VAN in addition to the 4x4 set up.

Good luck as it will be great to see the So Cal community grow.

Some great SMB owners in So Cal with future meet and greats I am sure.

Don't forget about QuadVan. It's an overnight shipment to send it to Portland, and the sales tax savings more than pays for the shipping.
