4x4 parts search

I've been trying to straighten out my thoughts but it isn't getting very straight, I have a 1993 e350 ambulance I'd like to convert to coil sprung 4x4, I have the transmission and transfer case parts and I'd like to keep lift to a minimum, 4" perhaps. This will be a camper with the bog square box.

It seems sportsmobile and quickly are the big two, I don't mind driving to the northwest from California but I need to know what I'm looking for and what all parts need to be included, must be a d60 but they seem common.

It's Quigley, but they aren't going to work on anything that old. I don't think Sportsmobile will either. Just keep reading here. There are lots of 4x4 conversion companies, including Agile Offroad, Ujoint Offroad, Colorado Camper Van just to name a couple. There was a post on this just the other day.

You are in California:

See if Agile will do it. You stated coil sprung, and minimum lift. If TTB will work, then you can keep lift very minimal, less than a straight axle.

Issue might be the starting weight of an ambulance, but pretty sure they will know what to do and will have done it before. Tell them what you have.

SMB and Quigley will not touch anything older than a couple of years.

Agile Off-Road can convert it to our Long Travel Dana 50 Twin-Traction Beam or Dana 60 Straight axle. Give us a call for details.

I could build my own but I'd rather just buy out of a junked van, d60 should hold the load. I missed a rusted out e350 in seattle, I believe it was a Quigley. I've seen some changeovers listed in junkyards but few and far between. I'd rather avoid more ttb fun and they are all 3/4 ton anyway.

TTB also came in 1 ton F350 for years. Send all those TTB my way - I'm a buyer!

Perhaps one 3/4 ton and one 1/2 ton ttb extra when I looked this morning, I like the idea of converting this old e250 I have to ttb. My recollection of the 1 ton ttb was that it was only offered in srw trucks and had a lower gawr than the subsequent d60 straight axle. I looked in several fords I have today and the weight ratings were all over the place.
