Heading out tomorrow for a 36 hour trip and would like to hear from you guys on good trails/locations to see for that short of a period. I’d like to do some trails (not too difficult) that are more off-road than just a fire road type driving. Air down....etc
I realize it’s getting hot...not worried or scared of heat.
It’s with a friend and three boys ages 8-14...
Thanks

In the past few months I have made 3 trips out there.

First one was in upper coyote canyon out to Bailey's Cabin and Alder canyon.

Second one was lower coyote canyon out to Sheep canyon campground and then basically as far as we could go north on the trail until it stops.

Last one was Oriflamme canyon and pinyon mountain trail. We drove on on the Mason Valley Truck Trail which as well which was fun and added some more challenge to the trip. I made a post about that trip earlier this week. Thread linked below:

Those were all weekend trips where we left on a Friday after work and come home early Sunday.

Sin Nombre Canyon up to Vallecito Wash and then back down Great Southern Overland Stage Route was an easy route last year. Another option is Little Blair Valley
