I noticed a little less fluid in the sight tube at 6k, and topped it off some, then at 14k saw that is was again lower. Is this normal, just like motor oil, some fluid loss over the miles due to the heat?
I am planning on the getting the top-off kit from Atlas at the recommended mileage but just wondering about the lowering in the sight tube, Normal?
I never saw any loss until the rear seal started to leak. Not much on the pavement because the drive shaft was throwing it on the extreme air heat sheild and the exhaust plus all the dust absorbed it a bit. Actually I smelled the fluid burning on the exhaust. After washing it down I could see the fluid starting to drip a bit on the ground. That seal has gone twice in 42K.

Haven't noticed any change in mine, over the +/- 12,000 miles since I've owned it.
BTW, what's the "top-off kit"?

There's a clear tube on the rear end of the Atlas. There should be a black zip tie on the tube which indicates the proper fluid fill level. I dislike that method of indicating the proper level, as the zip tie can slide up and down.
