Badlands off-road weekend

Ok this is to see who wants a off-road driving day and recovery day weekend done by badlands off-road.

He is looking at $275 per day per driver.
I’m assuming it’s off the 395 and the 14 and will be challenging for all.

This is can change but is for the group make up.

This sounds great. I also posted a group class for Bill Burke in Anza. It’s in the meetup and trip reports for Feb. 8-10.

Possible dates
July 7th & 8th
July 28 & 29
September 8th & 9th
September 29 & 30

This will be a 2 day clinic. The first day covers basic 4 Wheel driving skills and practice. The second day is hands on winching.

In the driving class we will cover basic information about 4WD vehicles (just enough to understand what is going on). We will cover a lot of safety and environmental concerns. But the largest part of the class is driving technique to get you through a variety of terrain. A handout of the material covered is provided. Here is a list of items we will cover: Off Road Vehicles, How 4WD Works, Driving Technique, Safety, Pre Run Check, Survival & Peace of Mind Kits, Options & Accessories, Overview of options for getting unstuck, Post Trip maintenance, Trail Etiquette & Tread Lightly. The class is about 4 hours of classroom and 4 hours of behind the wheel practice. The class room will be at the Air and Space Port in Mojave, CA. with the driving section in Jawbone Canyon.

The winch class covers:
Safety related issues
Basic operation of the winch
Simple and complex riggings
Stuck assessment
Winch capability
Minimizing environmental impact
This is a hands on class. If you do not have a winch on your vehicle, you will be paired up with another student.
The clinic will be held in the El Paso Mountains north Of Mojave, CA.

Cost is $275 per person per day.
