Bend, Oregon repair shops

We have spent five years in the four corners area but are looking forward to crawling around Hart Mountain and the Steins, southern Oregon, eastern Washington and northern Nevada. We regularly use the 4WD platform to get in and out of remote areas. I need a shop that can do the routine maintenance and occasional repairs while we are in Bend for the next two maybe three years.

I have used Weisner's Automotive Service on a motorhome and they did a great job for a reasonable price. They do a lot of fleet truck work and have a high garage with a big lift. But most the time I use Robberson Ford for the 6.0 and have had great luck, quick service and reasonable pricing. On my Duramax I used Performance Authority to put new head gaskets in and have had no problems.

rockbender - As for the electrical system; I just need to learn how to use my multi-tester.

I spend a few weeks in Bend each summer and have wondered the same.

I do know, however, that when in Bend or Redmond I HAVE to eat at the Original Pancake House, both Bend and Redmond, and Pilot Butte Burger in Bend!

skyrat I have eaten at the Pilot Butte Burger. They make the best burger I've had in years. They are large enough that we are able to split one. I will have to stop in at the Original Pancake House.

I called Happy Dane's, Hertz Auto Care and Ford for quotes on an oil change and transmission fluid change. Dane's and Hertz were over $239. Ford service quoted $190.

I have had great service at the Ford dealer in Bend for years. I was at first hesitant becuse of my past dealings with other dealers.
