Front plate

For those of you with the Aluminess front bumper and a winch, where are you mounting your front license plate?

Right over the front fairlead. I did have to drill new holes in it. It's got about a quarter of an inch between the top of the plate and the top of the bumper, and the bottom of the plate is tucked into the top of the farlead housing.

The plastic, or plastic coated flashlight (Maglite) holders, that work on spring tension, work great to hold onto the vertical fairlead rollers. The rollers are about the same diamter as a Maglite, so they clamp on easily. Then just mount (drill and screw) the plate to the holders.

That's what I use too Herb. Never lost a plate yet either. That's when I remember to put the thing on. Supposed to have a front plate here in California, but never been stopped for leaving it off.
