Shenrie: Any chance that you could measure the width of the curt? ie the width (outside to outside) of the vertical sheet metal...not too concerned about the ears with the holes in them.........

If you post the measurement here, then other leaf spring types can see it for future reference....

Thanks

The front hitch for the vans are typically rated at 9000lbs draw and 500lbs tongue weight. They are an excellent point to recover from if you respect these boundaries. I had the CURT one listed above, but needed to remove it when I installed the Weldtec prerunner bumper. I will build a custom one to sit behind the new bumper when time allows.

Good to know! Should be plenty with my empty passenger van.

I just ordered the Curt above.

I want to thank all of you for saving me some money. Was going to have MG make some custom recovery points for the van. He pointed me to this thread and suggested this would be a simpler and less costly solution. Thanks to MG and to everyone here.

Sorry Larrie but the van used to have one on it.

What can I say, I needed it. The good news is it will mount right up!

You had no idea the van would come to me. Hind site is 20/20. Besides the price of a new one is very low.
