Got a noisey 4x4 on bumpy roads?

Guessing it is Roadmaster spring related. I have similar/same issue that really only started after I put the Roadmasters on. But only under relatively extreme articulation, i.e. pretty rough offroad conditions when axles are being excersised up and down. But it is most definitely leafs creaking and I hate it. Love what the Roadmasters do for stability on pavement and weight distribution, but this bugs me and have vowed to resolve it eventually perhaps with Deaver makeover. Its not a safety issue, talked to Roadmaster and SMB about it, but something about Roadmaster in an SMB application.

Hey BC, thanks for the reply!
I am happy with the Roadmaster springs.
My van conversion is not done, so as I add more equipment and wood,
the overall weight will change. When the interior conversion is done,
then I will dial in the Roadmaster spring rate and see what happens.

Could you share more about the Deaver system you are considering?
Does it have adjustments, or can it be fine tuned to suite the terrain?

Hey Mike, I was under the van the other day and found the rattle.
You were right!
It is the SMB battery case, the bottom part.
I will add some Silly Puddy-caulking and seal off the plastic-to-metal noise maker.
Happy to know that it has nothing to do with the Roadmaster spring units!

Sorry to jump in here, but you mentioned something about the rear leaf springs not loaded enough would make a noise? My Chevy Express 2500 makes a "clang" noise from time to time when going over sharp bumps in the road... what might this spring noise be?

As I will soon be lifting the van up to fit BFG ATs on I thought I might try and source this clang...
