Hankook ATM RF10 ?
The Nitto ATs on my test bed (F250) have gone to bald. Shame because I like them so much I put them on the SMB too.
Discount Tire is pushing the Hankook ATM RF10 pretty hard, and I'm not sure if it's a marketing campaign or if they're actually good tires. The main selling point seemed to be mileage, as the Nittos didn't last, but I dont' know anything else about these tires.
Anybody have experience with Hankook ATs?

Re: Hankook ATM RF10 ?
They look a little tame to be called a ATM as in All Terrain Mud.
I think someone needs to buy a set and do a review on them for the Forum. Hint....Hint...

Hankook ATM RF10 ?
I'm ready for new tires as well. I've been using:
Nitto Grappler AT Tires
325 x 65 x 18
Load Range D
Have been really happy with these tires!
Averaging about 40k on my second set.
I have Hankooks on my X5 BMW, which
have held up really well:
Hankook Ventus ST RH06
285/35 R22 102W 4PR M+S
I didn't even think about Hankooks for my SMB. Now that you mentioned it, I'm gonna look into it and look forward to hearing about anyone's experience with them. How much did Discount Tire quote you for the Hankook AT's?

Re: Hankook ATM RF10 ?
I've had the Hankook ATm's on my Jeep 4x4 Comanche for over a year / 5K miles now for daily driving. The difference from coming from BFG MT's was just amazing for handling, smoothness and quietness. BTW these are not Mud Terrain but are All Terrain Mud and Snow. In a few thousand miles I will be replacing my BFG MT's on my SMB with All Terrains and will consider the Hankook ATm and BFG AT. I know the Hankooks will be significantly cheaper as they were for my Comanche 265/75/R16 but I prefer the look of the BFG. All in all the Hankook's have been very good tires on my Comanche. FYI - On the SMB I got about 38K miles on BFG AT and will barely make 25K miles on the MT KM2's.

I'm very happy with the Hankook 315/75 16 E MTs on our SMB. Can't comment on the ATMs.

Re: Hankook ATM RF10 ?
Oops! I removed the Hankook MT statement in my previous post because it was wrong. I see there are appropriate sizes and load ranges for the SMB.

Did you ever get these Jage? I'm looking at new tires right now as well and these are on my radar. I'm also looking at the Cooper Discovery AT3.

Re: Hankook ATM RF10 ?
I have them on my van. Can't give you a comparison against other tires as they were put on new when I bought it. They are quiet, the van handles well, and they still look new with ~10k miles on them. Also seemed to do well in snow. Mine are 225/75-16 LRE. In Nov 2011 Consumer Reports they were rated #3 out of 13 All terrain tires. Snow Traction = Excellent; Dry & Wet braking, Hydroplaning, Tread Life = Very good; Handling, Ice Braking, Ride, Rolling Resistance = Good; Noise = Fair.

Re: Hankook ATM RF10 ?
Nice picture and weather Jage. I'm sure those balding Nitto's will handle it well . I ended up ordering the Cooper Discoverer ATP tires from Discount Tire ( http://www.discounttiredirect.com/di...yp=Truck%2FSUV). They seem to very close to the AT3 but are made exclusively for Discount Tire. I chose them over the Hankook's for a couple of reasons. They were a little less expensive, made in America (I believe) and have a 55k mileage warranty. It will be about a week before I get them on the van, but I'll update this topic once they're done.
