Hitch Height and Tow Bar Angle??

About how high is the receiver on an SMB converted EB?

What's are acceptable angles for a tow-bar (e.g. Falcon 2 All Terrain)- up and down?

In other words: What are safe A and B angles in the following?

Jage - The center of the receiver on an '07, RB50 with diesel, 17 gal water and full fuel is 20-1/4" off the ground.

All my info on tow bars is up north. In the FROG towing I've done, I've always tried to keep the bar close to level or with the tow rig end a little lower. Pretty easy to do with drop or raised stingers. Maybe someone else what's around home can check tow bar instructions.

The problem is I have an aftermarket bumper on one end...

And I just ordered this:

Which I realized cannot be dropped out of line with the receiver, or raised.

There is almost nothing left to attach to on the front of the Jeep and anything outside or under the current bumper will get thrashed and trashed offroad.

Add too that that I'm planning on lifting the Jeep in the next year (depending how much financially is tied up in the SMB) and that will totally change the angle.

Currently the horzontally flat part of the bumper (outside the D ring tabs) is 25" in the center, so I'm looking at a ~5" drop if I mount it there.

Jage,
What does the MFG of the tow bar recommend? From the photo it looks like stinger (the part that slides into the receiver) is something other than a ball hitch type. Otherwise you can use a stinger with a drop in it to bring the tow bar parallel to the ground. The disadvantage is on uneven ground the stinger may drag when the nose of the van is up.
