$259.95 Fox Shox 2.0 Smooth Body IFP Shock 980-24-677 x 2
$1,818.64 Agile - 40 gallon Aero Tech tank, tuned Fox shocks (985-24-061), shock mounts & perches.
$107.71 Agile - U Bolts
$420.00 U Joint Offroad - 6.0 Oil Filter Relocation Kit
$89.45 1997-2003 Ford Econoline E350 Van Fuel Filler Neck (DIESEL)
$225.00 2008 NV273F Transfer Case (American Dismantling), 105k miles??
$1,293.00 Agile rear springs, 5.5-6" lift over stock, 4380 rear axle weight (John's estimate)
$64.50 Transfer Case GEM Module - 5C3T-14B205-AA FITS 05-06 FORD F250SD
$342.68 Rear calipers fully loaded, h/w, park brake shoes & cables, rear brake lines
$200.00 Nate labor for rear spring perch welding, etc.
$1,211.00 Front and rear driveshafts
$125.00 2x Gem module pigtails, 1x 4x4 selector switch pigtail, Astro Autowrecking
$200.00 Nate labor for rear shock mount welding, etc.
$760.56 Replaced inner and outer drive link, alignment, leveling kit, etc.
$377.15 Agile Offroad - Built ESOF Standalone harness for my NV273
$34.90 Motorcraft WPT-829 Pigtail / Connector for Sterling E-Locker
$475.00 Agile ESOF install, Revalve front shocks, trim cross member and trac rod mount
$16,153.18 Total

Looks like you would save $1250 on MG's kit vs. what I paid.
I spent extra money to get a 40 gallon tank vs. cutting down factory tank (very happy with the increased range)
Would have been cheaper to get a manual shift vs. ESOF
Could save $400 if you can do the welding yourself.
Could save money if you don't use custom rear springs (very happy with the ride).

Biggest challenge was finding axles in the gear ratio I wanted 4.30's. I'm pretty computer literate and with multiple searches daily, I think it took me 3 months to find both axles. Rear springs took 2-3 months to receive as well. The swap wasn't horrible, but bigger and heavier than what I am used to and waiting for parts slowed the progress.

Fork-n-road.

Would you do it again the same? How is the handling and ride?
I did. 4” UJoint leaf on my 7.3 homebuild. I also have a 2wd 1994 sportsmobile that I might convert now. So looking for insight if you would share.

^^^ I’ve driven a ujoint 4”, an mg conversation and my Quigley and out of those 3 I liked the mg setup best. Take that with a grain of salt as I only had the mg van out around town for 30 min and the ujoint off-road for about the same. The mg setup around town was very well behaved. Rode really nice and the handling was great. The ujoint setup didn’t ride as good as my Quigley on the same road and the turning radius wasn’t near as good. That said I’m quite sure it’s more able in a real off-road setting. Getting over big rocks and obstacles, etc.

I’ve helped install one of these kits and was impressed with the well thought out setup using as much oem parts as possible. Instructions were great along with the customer support when we did have questions. If I wouldn’t have to start from scratch to convert my van I’d have already converted it to the mg setup.

Like I said above, you’d be starting from scratch by removing everything Quigley installed and replacing it with the mg kit and all associated parts. Definitely not a driveway job for the inexperienced.

I don't see any more 4x4 conversions in my future. If there is a "next" 4x4 van in my life, I would likely buy one that is already done or send it out for conversion. The only other vendor that I really considered was Agile, but the price point sounded like more than I wanted to spend at the time. In hindsight, especially with the time involved, it wouldn't have been much more money to have Agile do everything. I was surprised to see how quickly the little things start to add up when doing the conversion and that made it tough to do an apples to apples comparison when selecting which way to go.

I like how my van rides, especially after having the shocks re-valved. It was a noticeable difference in the dirt and on the highway. I do like that the coil conversion uses factory parts, has bigger brakes, etc. and with the exception of my transmission, I have a much newer / heavier duty drive train.

Last Falls's coil conversion bracket kit sale was a huge success so we're going to do it again! We are offering our radius arm/coil spring conversion brackets for the E-series in another group buy. We're looking for a minimum of 10 buyers (at 20 buyers, the price drops 10%). $2000 per set, This is for the brackets only (2 radius arm brackets, 2 spring perches/shock mounts, trac bar mount, PLUS a machined pitman arm). All other 4x4 conversion parts can be purchased through various sources and part numbers/info will be provided.

We have a detailed set of instructions, cut templates, parts info and a FAQ that we can send to any interested parties via email (too much info to post here in its current format...getting on the email list is easier). There is also a great DIY knowledge sharing post on this forum where others have been posting info:

This kit is so well done and so simple even I can do it! With carefuly shopping and a little luck I was able to convert a van for much less than $10k with this kit and it was worlds better than the Quigley I had before it.

Get yours while you can!

I still have this 4x4 conversion ready fuel tank for sale. Any coil bracket kit buyers wanting an easy solution for the fuel tank mods, this is it.

comes will all the brackets and hardware. Fits '09-up vans. Fuel sending unit could be modded to work with older vans, I can explain how.
