Re: New SMB ride quality

My (05 SMB 4x4) springs were crap. They were pancaked out on the overload springs, and while that gave a nice stiff ride it was murder on the bumps. The Deavers have made a heck of a difference and were done from afar... I imagine Deaver can do as well with new construction as they know a fair bit about fitting SMBs.

I don't understand replacing a spring or two, I just replaced 4 and got what should have been on there... 11 leaves, no overloads, no donkey-kick-kidneys ride anymore. If the SMB springs (on mine) weren't crap (crapped out if you will?) then replacing one or adding a leaf might make sense.

Because Fresno is so close it would be beneficial for me rather than going down south.
No, I didn't ask SMB if they would install Deavers. Being able to get it all done in one visit to SMB was a huge incentive for me too.

Re: New SMB ride quality

For the most part my rig's weight is dialed in. I've got rear air bags but the ride is less than desirable on washboard and pot hole roads. If Deaver can work with SMB I might get my wallet out next spring. That and a possible a rear air locker will be the last big ticket item....Well I think???

Re: New SMB ride quality

I would like to see air suspension seats and a proper snorkel. I've never seen either on a smb.
