I put on 255/80/17 E rated BFG KM2's. Replaced my Nitto Terra Grapplers which were 285/70/17.
I like the tall narrow profile. 33.3 inches and no problem clearing front fender.
They ride great. Excellent traction. I took them for a drive over Old Dale Road in Joshua Tree this afternoon to check them out. A little lower RPM at Hwy speeds too. Never hurts.
How is the noise at highway speeds?
I have the older BFG Mud Terrains on my Jeep and find them noisy. I heard the KM2s are much quieter. Your thoughts?

They are louder than my Nitto's for sure. And apparently they get louder as they break in/wear out. It's not a concern to me. On the highway I'm using my car a lot more because it averages 24+ mpg and it hauls ass. That's why I went the next step to an off road tire instead of all terrain.
For me, the bigger concern for the KM2's is tread life. I've got them on my Jeep. They are fantastic on the trail, but I have been shocked at how fast the tread has been disappearing.
Will be interested to see what kind of milage you get out of them.

Me too. I replaced the Hankooks that came on it at 33k, sold them used for $100. Now I have 70k, so I got 37k out of the Nitto Terra Grapplers. Not bad, but they were too worn for off road. Your Grandmother could get another year out of them.
Tires are cheap. At $80+ a fill up, it's only ten tanks of gas for new tires.
