Pulled the trigger

I have been searching for a while and finally purchased. I posted a few months back and talk to a few members and with all the recommendations\good advise I decided on what to buy. I purchased a 2000 Ford e-350 EB v10 with a Salem Kroger 4x4 conversion and 6" (I think) lift.
Body is solid, no rust, interior is a clean slate and mechanically it just needed brakes. One thing it does do is wobble over 60mph. from what I read it is the DW and I know the solution, the dual shock stabilizer. My one problem is I don't know where to find one or even know how to get in touch with SK to ask which ford kit I should buy.

Any ideas???

Re: Pulled the trigger

Is it a coil spring conversion, or a leaf spring conversion?

Leaf springs take Skyjacker 7299 kit

Coil springs take a Skyjacker 7254 kit

They are available from many sources.

Re: Pulled the trigger

Try White Feather 4x4 conversions and ask for Craig. He was the lead design
guy at Salem Kroger. 530-529-3248. I bet he can help you.

Re: Pulled the trigger

I started with the Rough Country and heavily modified it:

http://www.autotrucktoys.com/ford_truck ... 17117.aspx

And because it is hitting the cross member need to do more modification to it.

But if you have access to someone who can weld, TurboStew's setup is the cleanest IMO. Look at the entire thread:

viewtopic.php?f=24&t=4399&hilit=quadvan+death+wobb le&start=45

TurboStew also suggested the following bolt on:

http://www.powerstroke.org/forum/suspen ... -help.html

Finally, I agree with TurboStew that dual opposing gas pressurized shocks are better than dual opposing stabilizers because stabilizers have resistance both ways which puts more resistance and thus wear on your steering box. Gas pressurized shocks push against each other, whereby one cancels the resistance of the other, thereby providing less resistance and less wear on your steering box.

I continue to be impressed with Fox Shox. (And BajaSportsmobile is the man on suspensions. That TTB D50 is the *thing*!!!)

However, I like the idea of dual opposing gas pressurized shocks the best. TurboStew used Bilsteins and so did I.

And the dual opposing gas pressurized shocks cured the Death Wobble on my Salem Kroger, which Salem Kroger didn't cure after $3,000 in re-work on the front end, part of it under their warranty.

Re: Pulled the trigger

Thanks again everyone! This site is a great knowledge base and I would be lost without it. I really appreciate the input from everyone and now some homework to do.

Re: Pulled the trigger

I will get a build thread going. It was a work van so inside is/was trashed, lots of cleaning, some holes to patch\weld in the floor from the bolts then off to body shop for a color sand and door jams painting, after that a few dents pulled then a couple windows put in. A full tune up\dual shock stabalizer install and finally back to me for the fun. I have credit card full of fam van\ford parts\aluminess\4 wheel parts\ebay\amazon\craigslist\etc to build something that I have been wanting for a long time. Lots of good ideas came from this site so I will give back, just need a little time.
