If your distance to bumpstop is less than what's left on your shock, you're OK. Otherwise you'll probably damage the shock when you bottom out. Either way 1"- 2" is not much travel.

Digging this one up from the past, since it was helpful to me on my upgrade path...
I had similar issues with the front of my Van. 2000 RB 7.3L, with a Road Armor Bumper and Hydraulic Winch. Quasi loaded weight with me, but empty tanks and no additional gear/passengers was 4620#. Based on all the comments on here (Namely, that the SSC-30's weren't quite enough), I purchased a set of SSC-31 Springs from Super Spring and swapped them out yesterday. This netted about 1" over the stock springs with all of that weight. I also shaved about 1/4-1/2" off the bumpstops as well, which gives me about 3" of uptravel vs. the 1-1.5" I had previously. Now off to get some rear springs made to help fix this 'rake' problem I have!
