Not a dual control arm IFS. Single lower control arm with strut assembly. Not the most ideal suspension layout for playing with but WRC rally cars have similar setups and its not like those guys don't bang on them a bit...

I know that the stock tire size sucks and the styling takes some getting used to and there are some quirky designs for things throughout the van but I gotta tell ya... I'm LOVING my new Transit! It is fun to drive, comfortable, great visibility and the Ecoboost just RIPS! I was never this happy daily driving my E-series.
It is going to be really interesting owning both vans and seeing which I end up driving more. I think they'll both get used a lot, just in different ways.

MG, when I wrote that last night, I was thinking of you--if anyone can do it, I expect that that would be you. I'm looking forward to seeing your Transit conversion--I bet it is going to be beautiful.

Without seeing any lift or available wheel well clearance, or a transfer case for that matter, this conversion probably amounts to being just an 'all wheel drive' vehicle like a Subaru of the other ski slope parking lot cars.

Both Quigley and QuadVan use a 2-speed transfer case. It is true 4WD. QuadVan offers a 2" lift option and they are working on a 4" lift. But... even then the Transit will always have limited articulation, like the Sprinter.

Ford Engineer 1: We need something to keep the rear doors from swinging open too wide.
Ford Engineer 2: How about a swing limiting device that tucks in the door?
Ford Engineer 1: Complicated, it's Friday and I want to go home.
Ford Engineer 2: How about some big f-ing nobs??
Ford Engineer 1: Sounds good.

LOL
In defense of the engineer #2 those BF'n knobs are magnets that hold the door in the open position. The door checks in these things are an engineering marvel, actually.
Now lets see some photos of the 4wd undercarraige....

That was my point too. I know they are cool but those knobs are ugly. Sprinters seem to have a more elegant design......if for no other reason that I can't think of how their magnets look but I know they're there somewhere.

No foul here... I'm not really a Ford Fanboi, I just play one M-F 8-5.
I do like the the Sprinter styling more, as well. I still prefer the Econoline tho...
