Saw a new Ford Transit 350 Quigley 4x4 today

Newberg Ford has had them for 6+ months. Plus their regular assortment of QuadVan Transits. I think Quigley only does gassers. QuadVan does both gas motors and the diesel.

Ford Engineer 1: We need something to keep the rear doors from swinging open too wide.

Ford Engineer 2: How about a swing limiting device that tucks in the door?

Ford Engineer 1: Complicated, it's Friday and I want to go home.

Ford Engineer 2: How about some big f-ing nobs??

According to John at Quadvan, the Transits are set up in such a manner that there is no way to adjust the speedometer and odometer to accommodate a different tire size.

John tells me that Ford has stated explicitly that if the speedometer/odometer function modified from stock in any way--this includes changing tire size--it voids the warranty, by definition. Do not pas Go. Definitely do not collect $200.

Moral of the story: All of John's conversions utilize the original go-cart wheels and tires. And--at least according to him--that is the only option there is. Perhaps someone else will figure out how to hack the system without causing Ford to declare it a warranty-voiding change.

In any event, I think I'll stick with my ten year old F-350.

Yeah, those are pretty hideous. I think they could've definitely gotten it done and made it look better.

Haha, yup. That's not the only too-small part that can't be upgraded (*cough* brakes *cough*).

Even though Transit Wagons are their bread and butter now, talk to him for a few minutes and he'll have anybody convinced to go for a new Turtle Top E350 instead!
