Re: Shocks for Quigley with Deaver/Super Springs

I have the same spring set-up on my 2000 EB50. My van has the Road Armor bumpers, 7.3PSD and M12000 winch. Most shocks are not valved to handle that much weight bouncing around. I went with a custom valved Fox set-up with the adjustable compression knobs on the fronts. The 2.5 reservoir model is best suited for the heavy weight and stiffer springs. Unfortunately, i don't have the shaft length measurements anymore. I'm pretty sure it was 18". The best way to do it right is to measure the full down travel on each corner to ensure you get the right length.

King shocks are an excellent alternative to the Fox's. Either way, it will cost a little more than the Bilsteins, but will the shox will be dialed in for your rig. Mine rolls really well on and off road.

Re: Shocks for Quigley with Deaver/Super Springs

My van had Road Armor and M12000 at front when Quigley put the Bilsteins on.
They were supposed to be the HD version but I did not confirm that.

Re: Shocks for Quigley with Deaver/Super Springs

slightly old thread but wondering about new shock. I have antoher thread open about this too, but this is specific.
I got this from Quigley
Code:
front shock is Ford # 5C3Z-18124-MA/Monroe#34525/Bilstein#F4BE5C295HO
I have contacted bilstein, but no reply yet about this part number. I cant find it anywhere ,but some google foo shows that it is a Ford part number. Anyone have a conversion chart or actual part number? I dont want OEM or Monroe.

Re: Shocks for Quigley with Deaver/Super Springs

What year van?
Also you just need to keep trying Bilstein. They get very busy.
Ask to speak with Shane. I forget his last name.

You also might be able to just google the Bilstein part number and see if it comes up with a newer part number.

I put new front Bilsteins on mine today, and am not very happy with how they fit. So I won't give you the part number I was given...

The wrong part number can be a handy thing to have. That way if it gets recommended you can walk out the door with your money still in your pocket.
