interesting to know :

the somewhere highly recommended Hypertech Speedometer Calibrator supports the Ford Vans only until 2009, not later!

The Hypertech calibrator interests me, but then I read you can only use it for one vehicle at a time. At $200, that's a deal killer.

"The Speedometer Calibrator can only be used on one (1) vehicle at a time, so if you sell your vehicle or want to use it on a friend’s vehicle, simply return your vehicle to the stock tuning program and you may then use the programmer on another vehicle that is covered in the same part number."

Yes I know. BUT for me having a 2010+ vehicle that could have been OK.
But currently I know no approved way to do the speedometer adjustment.

Using the diameter on my new tires vs old tires I obtained the figure of 4% greater circumference on the new tires. From my GPS I consistently see 4% faster speed than my odometer reads. At 70 mph odometer that's about 73 mph 'real' speed. But no police stop you until at least 75 mph.

Humph ;-(
the problem is, I have to have the new tires certified in Germany and one mayor aspect is a accurate speedometer reading ;-(

I have a new Transit with larger-than-stock tires. How can I get my speedometer/odometer recalibrated, to be accurate?

Herb
My dealer just quoted me $125 to reprogram my 2001 Excursion. Seems like a lot of money for 5 minutes of work, even if they charge a minimum of 1 hour.

The Hypertech calibrator is starting to sound better....

For me it would be OK to pay the 200 bucks for the Hypertech calibrator if there is no alternative way.

BUT this tool will not work on Vans after 2009.
And I have no chance here to get any Ford dealer to adjust my speedomeeter since they are not able to deal with Ford US trucks.

I e-mailed with 5StarTuning about getting a Custom Tune with speedometer adjustment.

The discussion is chewy and still not fruitfull.
One response sayd "We should be able to tune for the vehicle."
Then I asked again whether they can confirm the speedometer adjustment.

Next they respond with "what is your vehicle Ecu code", which I allready sent some e-mails before. I sent it again. Thats now about 2 days ago ;-(

So still noanswer, no solution for adjusting speedometer for 08+ Vans.
If anybody has got any idea that would be very apreciated

Start by downloading your as built data:

https://www.motorcraftservice.com/AsBuilt

And take a look at the parameters. The file is raw XLMish, so just look at it in a text editor. My '99 shows a lot of "DATA NOT FOUND". I don't know if that's because they purged it from their on-line database due to age, or if that's correct, and there was no special programming on those parts for my van. (I suspect the former.)
