Steering drag link questions

Having issues with my new drag link. I purchased all new parts from sportsmobile and am having issues at both ends. On the Dynatrac steering arm on the knuckle the drag link stem/shaft is to big, on the pitman arm end its to loose and the stem/shaft comes through to far past the threads.
I have referred to the "SMB 4WD Parts Reference Thread", checked numbers there, cross reference through NAPA and even through ford. I've had each of them bring over drag links and they are all the same. We've been chatting with SMB all week and they don't have any other ideas for us either. Everything is still stock, So i'm at a loss of whats going on?
I certainly can take the Dynatrac steering arm over and get it machined but the pitman arm side is still an issue.

Is the adjustment sleeve closest to the wheel?

Maybe take the old drag link to the parts store and find one that matches?

So I don't know anything about your conversion or even the year axle you have but what's stopping you from purchasing the correct year steering knuckle for that axle and using stock parts? I'm not trying to be smart either, I am just asking. I had these issues with my van after I got it and realized I didn't want to play the "what fits in this spot" game so now I try to use as many stock parts as possible.

It has been a while but on my 04 SMB with the Dynatrac axle an end link from a 2004 F250 fit as a direct replacement. Perhaps I'm mistaken but that's what I remember.

was in same boat and eliminated a bunch of quigley stuff myself. now i can use off the shelf parts no matter where i break down. wont need to source expensive custom machine work either...

I appreciate the comments. Sorry I wasn't clear about my conversion. Mine is a SMB conversion with dynatrac axle. We have done the napa checks and dealership, ordered all the part numbers that cross reference what SMB suggested. Nothing is fitting. One thing SMB west has come to in the last couple days is they said in late 03 and early 04 they made a transition in using the drag link source by dynatrac and went with Ford parts. I'm currently trying to get ahold dynatrac to confirm the theory.
I have a pitman arm from my ujoint kit and it's a match to my new drag link. So that's a win. Hope to get more answers tomorrow.
