Synthetic Winch Line

Anyone have some recommendations for this? For a fully loaded EB 350 SMB.

Call up Thor (yes, his real name) @ Viking Offroad. Very knowledgeable and excellent customer service.

Ask for Emil at MasterPull
The best, but worth it.

I am not an expert in this- but waht I know is that sythetic cables have issues with heat. Electric motors get hot, when working.

Due to that I can see the trend and recommendation that people are using sythetic lines only on wich types like this, where the motor is seperated from the pully. So first you should start with the winch type and therefore getting the recommented type of cable automatically.

Concerns about heat with synthetic winch lines is generally only an issue if you power-out the winch line as opposed to free-spooling out the winch line.
Powering the line out does generate a lot of heat in the drum..

I'm no expert, but doesn't the location of the brake become an issue? too I think some winches have the brake inside the drum, causing the drum to heat up.

My Master Pull rope has a heat sheath on the end that's long enough to cover the drum.
