Re: Thinking about doing a DIY TTB Dana 50HD

I picked up that same axle a month or two back and have followed your past build, many times thinking I wish I'd just gone with a 150.

I've just picked up a pair of scrap steel wheels to weld to some steel and use as a jig at my final desired wms distance.

Can't wait to see how you go about this build!

Re: Thinking about doing a DIY TTB Dana 50HD

Thanks Scotty, still in training.

bcaine, found your build and subscribed. Why would you rather have had a 150?

Here is a guy who is way braver than I am ( cut out the entire cross member and replaced it with one from a TTB ) and also a pioneer in the van TTB.

Since I cant buy the expertise in the area I think I will just post what I learn in this thread and maybe it will help others who decide to go this route with a DIY TTB.
