What happened after 2006 to make them not fit? The vans have been 8 x 6.5 forever....

No SMB has been reverting them back to 8x6.5 when doing their 4x4 system, 2wd vans still made the 170mm switch, but I'd guess the issue is brake caliper size, which forces a bigger rim. Then again machining the bore is about fitting them on the hubs.

Also last I checked (2001ish?) running beadlocks on the street was illegal. It didn't stop me, but those things don't usually get less restrictive. I can't remember if it was a state or federal violation though... If you're after beadlocks you can have them made out of almost any wheel, or go with an alternative like bead screws, or internal beadlocks, or whatever else exists now.

Jage: I believe the stock 2WD E-series vans are all 8 x 6.5"......I understand that the SMB and most other 4WD conversions are 8 x170. My Advanced 4x4 conversion uses 8 x 6.5 (old Kingpin Dana 60).

I know Agile Offroad stays with 8x6.5.

Hutchinson makes some DOT double beadlocks http://www.hutchinsoninc.com/CMS/index. ... y-Beadlock

I had a set of Stazworks double beadlocks on my rock buggy and they had "DOT" stamped on the rim, but I can't actually find any other documentation that they are.

Re: Tire and Wheel Gallery - Post Yours Here!

For those of you who have purchased after market wheels, are you buying 5 wheels and tires? I think I read on here that some people are buying 5 and rotating in the spare. I'll be lifting my 2wd van soon and I'm trying to decide whether to buy 5 or just buy 4 and use a stock steel wheel as a spare with a used tire (matching).

Have 5 and include the spare in the rotation. Make sure you get a TPMS in each one (if applicable).

Nitto makes a 355/60R20 - it's the best 'looking' setup I've seen... perfectly proportioned.. as soon as I get a van, I'll show ya'll
