Another view of the wheel a bit further away from the fenders since this is a wheel thread after all.

WOW!! What a tough looking rig!! About those VW's...Have you heard or seen the conversion company out of Redding, CA that takes old VW vans/Vanagons and slap a Suburu engine/transmission pkg under? We went to look (will get their card and post name later), but the were closed. Had a couple in parking lot and several being converted in shop....very cool...I do know when my Bother-in-law checked them out (when were were originally looking at SMB's trying to decide pickup with camper, SMB, or?) and talked about port potties, stoves etc....I also know they are constantly looking for old VW's to purchase...anyway cool stuff my brother!

Re: Tire and Wheel Gallery - Post Yours Here!

OK, what's the consensus on Polished/Chrome silver rims vs Blacked out? Getting ready to pull the trigger on new wheels and I keep going back and forth. Need to go to 8x170 with 35s on the upcoming ujor conversion. Van is Silver and currently has black rims in its current state. Thx a ton

Re: Tire and Wheel Gallery - Post Yours Here!

Great thread!

I have a Black 2014 Quigley 12 pass with 5.4L, 4:10 gears and tiny 245/70-17's. Only mod's since new are Bushwhackers. I have lots of plans going forward but it's wheel/tire time.

So I don't mess up towing a 6.4k lb. racing trailer ( 5-10 times a year) I'm forced to compromise. I prefer spokes to holes and black to shine so after OCD'ing out on all the possibilities I'm leaning towards the Mickey Thompson Deegan 38 Pro 2's - 9x18 -12 offset and 285/65-18's.

This wheel / tire comparison tool has been very helpful

Anyone have experience with these wheels or tire size?

Next
Swapped hubs to SRW
put on some stock tires while waiting for 35's

Think I finally found the perfect combo for my truck!!

35 12.5 r17 BFG AT KO2
ATX AX199 rims 17x9 4.5 backspacing -12 offset
No rubbing at all. Ultra nice highway ride!
37's were ok but really loud on the highway and really heavy!!
