Re: Tire Pressure Monitoring System????

In all seriousness, my goal here is to avoid another highway-speed blowout.

Low gear and cruise control of course.

Re: Tire Pressure Monitoring System????

Having used both metallic and the rubber type stems I have never been able to decide the better of the two , on the new Pro Comps that I recently installed I have gone back to the Rubber . I do carry 4 of each type in our Tire Repair /Plug Kit for emergency use even though I have not had to use one on the SportsMobile I have changed out Stems on other vehicles most recently my daughters Quigley in the Bridger Wilderness Area of Wyoming ! Oddly enough it was 1 of each on the passenger side that were broken , swapped out both for the Rubber when they drove through Bear Grass that was hiding a downed Lodgepole Pine ! With regard to Monitering Systems I no longer use on any of our vehicles weighing more than 5K . I believe they have their place just not on any of my Trucks !

Re: Tire Pressure Monitoring System????

I have and use the PressurePro System, it has held up well. While it does not display all four tires at a time, it does go to the tire that automatically is putting out a failure message. I have had them installed two years now and have not lost a sensor. (Note: not four wheel drive) . They also have a lock kit, really just a jam nut. Every time you aired down, you probably would have to acknowledge the new air setting. The setup is not difficult though, you could also just pull the plug (usb mini connector ) and then plug back in for your final air up before you hit highway.

Re: Tire Pressure Monitoring System????

I was going to say, you would need a lock kit otherwise the sensors would get stolen.
