Ah! Whoops. Sorry, I get ya. My bad. I had it backwards.



In any event, it seems that it's only on the newer vans (1997 and newer) that an axle-gearing change will affect (or correct) the speedometer reading. Older vans (1996 and previous) have their speedometer reading affected *only* by the tire OD. Corrections to the speedometer reading on those older vans all need to be made by re-programming the speedometer module itself.

(I re-geared to 4.10 from the original 3.73, and it had zero effect on the speedometer reading, for instance.)
