12 volt dashboard outlet problem

Got my Sprinter back from SMB Fresno last week. It's awesome.
12 volt outlet on dash does not work. Fuse is good. Not sure if SMB had anything to do with it. Anyone else had a problem?

Re: 12 volt dashboard outlet problem

Is this the outlet under the cigarette lighter tray? No problem with mine. Do you have one under the driver's seat near the emergency brake? If so any problem?

Regards,

Keith

Re: 12 volt dashboard outlet problem

Keith: It's on the instrument panel just below the climate control buttons and it is marked 12v. This is a 2006 so it might be different from yours. Didn't know about the lighter by the drivers seat. I'll have to look for that. Greg

Re: 12 volt dashboard outlet problem

Yes, you are right, I don't have one in that location.

I was referring to a 12v outlet below the driver's seat next to the emergency brake.

You might check the forum at http://sprinter-source.com/forum/index.php

The fuse you checked was a 20amp #8? That is what I show.

Regards,

Keith

Re: 12 volt dashboard outlet problem

I found the problem. The fuse is under the drivers seat not where the manual sez. It was a blown fuse. Works fine now. The previous owner must have overloaded the 15 amp circuit.
