275/70/17

Agile Offroad will be installing BFG AT 275/70/17 tires on Roambuilt rims for out build. They have quite a bit of experience with this including a modification of the spare tire cage after talks with Roambuilt.

This is being completed in conjunction with a lift/suspension upgrade.

The Roambuilt wheels are pricey but I like the fact they are built for the application we would like.

And for those who do not already know, Backcountryguy is having the cage for the spare modified so that tire will fit on the underside.

That is after discussions with John Brindle at Agile. I believe SMB could do this work as well. That was the original plan, changed after John talked to Roambuilt.

Backcountryguy,

A quick question about the Roambuilt wheels:

I have the 17" Method wheels and the spec sheet lists a 50mm offset and a 6.22" backspace. Do you happen to know what these dimensions are for the Roambuilts?

Thanks.

Fitz

Fitz

I'm going to get a spec sheet or equivalent so I can give all everything they need. What I know is the wheels are a fit for the work Agile does and do not require wheel spacers.

I'll post the sheet on my build thread once I receive it.

Trying to find the Method wheels. What do I look for besides 265/70R17 and 6 lug. Online search lists so many other parameters. America's Tire said they are backordered to end of the year. Anyone have a good resource? Utah winter is near!

I too am finding the method wheels to be backordered (at least the black ones are). Oh well, it'll happen soon enough.

We have been working on on a list of tires sizes that fit all Sprinters. This list is related to stock and lifted Sprinters by Van Compass. I believe you will need wheel spacers with any tire wider than 245s with the RIP kit. I would confirm with Agile to be sure.
