Re: Brand new sprinter penthouse loud rattles.

STOCK VANS AVAILABLE FOR CONVERSION RB = Regular Body
EB = Extended Body
215006FT Ford Transit EB Low Top 2015 9000 Silver 5/15/15
214002D Dodge ProMaster RB Low 2014 8550 Sandstone In Production
215047M Sprinter EB 2500 2015 8550 Graphite Gray Metallic In Stock
214001D Dodge Promaster LB 2014 9350 Silver In Stock

The above vans are what you just mentioned, not sold waiting to be converted.
The other, completed on the showroom floor for sale vans are the ones featured on the top of the page I linked to.
Every time I was in Fresno they had vans for sale on the floor. If the van 214002D isn't spoken for during the production process, it would wind up completed and for sale on the showroom floor.

Re: Brand new sprinter penthouse loud rattles.

Not sure if this is where my comment belongs but speaking of driving the vans before pickup...Ours had 81 miles on it over the 9 it had when it was delivered to SMW. I read somewhere on these forums that they test drive it for 40 miles....but 80? The cupboards rattled a lot when we picked it up but I fixed it with furniture dots to tighten the doors. The tray under the refrigerator rattles like crazy too, will put a small block of foam under that to try to make it work.
Another interesting aside, and I have absolutely nothing to back this up except me and my husband, but when I was playing around with the radio settings (Excelon garmin radio) installed by SMW I found the trip computer. On it were approximately 1200 miles (which was about what it should be at the time). Under "max speed" it read 144mph. I certainly hope the 80 miles they spent driving around in our new van were not at these high speeds...
Just finished our 2nd road trip and have almost 5K miles and we average 24 mpg fully loaded. Super happy with the Mercedes part of the equation.
