Exciting. Hope I get to see it later this month either down in the East Bay or when you come up north. Cheers and safe travels.

Back at SMB for the minor pick up items. GREAT service, everyone helpful and friendly, all-around great experience and by the way, did I say we LOVE the van and the workmanship that went into it!

The van was parked right out in front of the office entrance when we drove up, with this sign on both the office door and Flint's door:

And here we are with Flint. I worked with SMB and Austin Graphics on the graphic, let's just say Laura was surprised when we drove up!

I will post some finished pictures when I get a chance, right now lots to see and learn with us beginning our drive west this afternoon.

As promised, finished pictures.

We are working our way from Austin to the Bay Area and enjoying ourselves thoroughly. Once home I will offer some more perspective, suffice it for now to say that the van handles great and as of now the only thing we would have changed would be the addition of a small light at the base of the cabinets for those times when only a little light is needed - easily added.

Exterior:

Interior:

Next we go to Aluminess to add the front winch bumper and nerf bars, look for before and after pictures to follow!

Wow...drool. I like that they lined the bottom of the penthouse bed with matching Cherry wood. Nice touch. I'm curious, what is placed under the factory spare tire location with the build?

The spare tire is on the bumper and the XL storage option is in the place of the spare tire. It is accessed by opening the back doors.
