Fresh Air Intake Blocked by Snow

Little snow at Alta, so I keep forgetting to mention another cold weather concern with the Sprinter.

I was using a computer fan to bring fresh, filtered air in through the front vents to keep moisture, CO, CO2, etc. in check.

I accumulated a bunch of snow on the vehicle, including the hood.

The snow on the hood completely blocked the fresh air intake.

So, I cut a hole in the top of the plastic box on the passenger side wheel well and put a vent flapper and computer fan in there. I turn the fan on when parked.

Also, the snorkel under the hood that connects the front scoop to the filter housing does not need tools to remove. If your air intake is plugged, remove the snorkel until you can clear the intake properly.
