I've done it! And still doing it.

Hey everyone,
As we all know the hardest part about our projects was the initial commitment. Well back in January I pulled the trigger on a very lightly used 2013 144 LR in preparation of eventually having SMB add a penthouse. The van was previously owned by one of the head engineers at Mercedes R&D in Detroit. I bought a one way flight to Detroit in January and drove it back to California in two days (not recommended). Luckily my father has a wood shop near by so I was able to utilize his place over the rainy winter here in California. Enough with the intro, photos!

I'll have to figure our a better way to upload the photos from the web but the link should do for now.

My latest projects are to complete the removable table and install our Faimma 45s awning w/ SMB penthouse brackets (by they way has anyone done this or know how?)

Cheers,
More to come.

Detroit to California in two days? Yikes, that's amazing. Welcome.

Well more like two sittings. Either way it was rough!
