New Penthouse Top in town

It appears that Colorado Camper Van has finally started installing the newest version of their pop top. Check it out:

That's cool. I haven't heard anything about this until now. Is there any more info out there or did you just notice the new shape?

CCV is doing some work on my rig, though not the top. This design has been in the works for some time. CCV was using a third party top for the conversion and wanted their own. The overall height is reduced from 19" to ~14". That's about all I know.

There is also a company out of San Rafael, CA that has been installing carbon fiber pop tops that are only 1" higher than the stock roof--so low you can't even tell that they are there and yet more stand up height than a stock van. Really great. A friend has one.

CCV put Fantastic Vents in their tops. :-). Yes, I also think the high tops look clunky.

Where does it say the tops are carbon fiber? It sounds like a great idea! Lightweight, strong, why not!?
