Thanks for the pic posting.

The inside looks very narrow in the PH....Not sure I like that versus a hardtop

Is the PH is worth the additional cost versus a high roof? High roof is 9" taller verus a 5ish taller PH roof.

I'd have to say that the PH comes down to the additional bed up top only...maybe fuel savings compared to GM/Ford PH.

The Sprinter penthouse also provides extra heighth for us tall people. A Sprinter RB high roof is not tall enough for me to stand in. The penthouse when extended is over 7 feet tall inside.

There's a two paragraph writeup of a Sporstmobile 4x4 Sprinter with pop-up top on page 10 of the February 2008 Diesel World magazine. Don't know if it's accurate or if it's just the old, outdated info that just now made it into the magazine, but I thought I'd pass it on.

Sprinter 4x4 in late 2008? Sportsmobile is hoping to have this option available within a year. Here is the latest.

Quote:
We are working with Dynatrac on a 4x4 conversion because we do not think that Dodge is going to offer the 4x4 as an option for the US and there is not a kit that we can purchase from Europe. We are hoping to have the 4x4 available within a year barring any unforeseen problems.

I'm not sure it's true, but a buddy told me he called Sportsvans and they want $25K to convert a Sprinter to 4 wheel drive. Anyone else heard this?
