Porta Bote mounting on my Sprinter

I have a 2008 19' Sprinter conversion, I would like to attach a 10'8" Porta Bote to the Drivers side wall of van. Has anyone done this project that can offer me advice ? or show a picture ????

that sounds like a cool idea, but have not done it. Does your conversion have propane heat? If so you might want to mount the boat higher (which will keep it cleaner but could block side windows if you have them) so you don't have to remove the bote to use the heater

Thanks for the reply, yes it has a heating system, windows as well as a sliding side door. I think I will have to mount it high and have a bracket welded on.

Assuming you want to hang it on the outside, folded flat, surfboard brackets should work or at least be a starting point for a design.

I came across them recently at a bike show. Their stuff is amazing and really does hold like crazy. Shouldn't be hard to figure out how to use 4 of their mounts and a couple of straps to lash the boat to the side of the van.
