Sleeping sideways in Sprinter?

Has anyone tried this solution? SMB said they had installed a couple. Adds about 6" total to the bed width for sleeping across the van. Any other solutions?

Re: Sleeping sideways in Sprinter?

For comfortable sleeping I find I need the bed to be 6 inches longer than I am tall. The other issues are less windows and for 2 people sleeping one needs to climb over the other to get out in the night.

Vanessa: Sprinter 3500 170 EB with RV interior and lots of unique features including water below 0 degrees, screen door, diesel generator, huge rear storage compartment for 2-person kayak and much more. See my web site for all the details.
