When you reference midship speakers do you mean in addition to your front and backs? Or did you decide to delete the backs? I’m considering installing some 6x9 3-way speakers in the back ceiling just below the penthouse. I also plan to pre-wire the space below the passenger seat for a powered subwoofer, but will wait and see if I feel it is needed before I pull the trigger.

My speaker set up is:
6.5” Focal Expert separates up front (tweeters are in pods on the pillars, not stock location;
10” Morel Hybrid 2 way speakers in the roof between the doors and the penthouse opening. It was a passenger van so I already have extra stock speakers locations in front of rear wheel area. I don’t need the extra volume, and, if in wired in parallel with front speakers, I wouldn’t be able to fade to just front or rear.

The ST-204d amp is more then necessary in the van, but the system sounds effortless and clear when playing louder for an outside gathering.
