Re: 2" Body Lift - Good, Bad, or just Ugly?

why not just raise the body up on 4x4s and then do the repair and lower back down on new rubber? seems like it would alow the fix and not have the issues.

The pucks I bought are plastic. I can either make or probably source and buy aluminum and drill press the center holes. I will look into this. And I can certainly buy 10.9 hardness bolts.
Yes. fixed

Good idea on skipping the plastic pucks

If I do this, I will post pictures and a build thread. I already fooled around with trying to remove one of the chassis bolts, and just getting those rusted in place things out will be a challenge likely worthy of a straight or angle grinder...
If you do undertake the injector rehad on your own I'd be very interested seeing what's involved. Admittedly working on diesel engines inside an E-Series is something I have absolutely no experience with.

Re: 2" Body Lift - Good, Bad, or just Ugly?

I vote to just yank the engine out the front and replace the injectors & cups. Will be easier in the long run.
