235 width tires on 16x8

Hi just noticed all the 235's Im looking at say 6.5 to 7.5. Is this really an issue?

not really, but it might have somewhat of a stretched look and expose the rim a little more than usual to curbs, rocks and other things that could possibly damage the rim. might ride a tad rougher as well.

Its not an issue if you don't care.

If you do care, as I assume you do since your posting this, then it probably would be.

Yeah, it'll fit, just makes you more likely to strike the rim when you brush up against curbs.

But why not just go 265?
