Chevy/GMC twin side door opening ( ? )

Hello.
Do the twin side cargo doors on these vans have a catch that's able to be released so I'd be able to open them further? I want to think so but..

Secondly, are the hinges bolted or welded?

I'm narrowing down the search.

Thanks in advance

GM welds their door hinges to the body.

Side barn doors should have a detachable door check strap on the rear or left hand door looking at the opening, the front or right hand door not so it doesn't interfere with the front passenger door's opening and closing.

The older ones have a strap the newer ones have a flat plate that stops the door from opening too far is hooked at the end and spring loaded. When you are opening the door about 1/2 way or less pull the flat plate towards you while you are opening the door the rest of the way. When you close the door they will automatically hook back. Be careful not to push the door too far or it will bend.
