Dropped off my van at Weldtec Designes!

Just wanted to start a thread about the work I'm going to get done over at Weldtec. I called Jeremy at 740 this morning and he said he could meet me over at his shop so I could drop off my smb.

I'm getting the complete performance package with their custom leaf springs in the rear to avoid the "block" lift. Jeremy was great with explaining everything to me and showing me his van products. Real top quality work seems to be done here. Build time will be about 2-3 weeks for the springs to be made, and for everything to be installed. He said he's quite bogged down with work and that would cause a bit of a delay. Since I don't get too many days off, I still opted to drop off my van even with a slight turnaround delay.

I'm most likely going to have him build me a front bumper too. I like what aluminess has to offer, but they can look a little bulkey, although to be fair I haven't seen a pre 08 front bumper in person.

As for rims and tires, there is a local discount tire that he works with so I can order everything through them and he can dial the suspension and tires in together.

Still looking for a full float d60 with 4.11 for the rear.

I also could use some advice for backspacing for 17" rims.

A more economical, or " cheap" way to lift the rear of the van is to add "blocks" to the rear axle. Basically it's like a body lift, but for the springs. Anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

Will do! I figure this will be a good reference thread people can refer to in the future when figuring out what to expect from weldtec.

He sent me a pic last week of some progress. Then he added a baby to the family and the holidays so there been a little delay which he told me to expect when I dropped it off.

I think a 33" tire is the biggest. I'm going with a 33 on a 17. You might be able to go bigger but I'll let him jump in and answer that.

He'll probably start making posts at all hours of the morning for a while.
