Factory heater control illumination?

I've got a 2009 E250 and I can't see the heater controls at night. Does anybody know if there is supposed to be a back light for these controls? And the biggest question - how do I access the light bulb to replace it?

Re: Factory heater control illumination?

Yes, it should be illuminated. Probably a loose connector. I've never had a bulb burn out on my HVAC controls.

I'm assuming you are talking about the dash controls. The rear controller is not illuminated on the newer vans (but they were at one point).

Re: Factory heater control illumination?

carringb scores again! The dealer fixed a loose connector under warranty, which fixed the problem. This is the second loose connector they've had to fix.
