Fender modification to Accomodate 35" Tires?

Forum Group:
I would like to run 35" tires on my 2010 E-Series Quigley setup which will rub the fenders during sharp turns.

Can anyone educate me on fender modifications necessary to accommodate 35" tires on a 2010 E-Series?. Anyone have photos of the modification work?

I believe the rear wheels will clear fine without fender modification, but I am told the front will require a slight cut to the lower rear edge of the front fenders to accommodate clearance during sharp turns.

I thought I would mount the 35" tires and just evaluate during sharp turns how much fender removal is really necessary as a guide.

Anyone have some experience with this to offer some guidance?

Anyone have photos?

Much appreciated.

I’d suggest test fitting before you modify anything. Quigleys seem to vary a lot from one to the next on what will fit without mods.

Before my van got lifted with the standard moog 880 springs that come with the rip kit from agile I was able to run 35’s on my stock quigley and the only place they rubbed was the very bottom corner of the front bumper. A small slice on each side from the front bumper easily remedied that. Now I’m running 35’s with the small lift from those springs but I notice them rubbing on the control arms at full lock. Not really much I can do about that.

Keep in mind what wheels your using could make a difference as well due to offset.

Sometimes just trimming works, I went a few steps more to be able to fit 315’s and improve the handling characteristics of the Quigley...had adjustable torque arms installed (fixed longer length ones available) to move the axle forward, then had to have the track bar remounted for diff clearance and to get it properly aligned again.
