Just bought a non-SMB '94 Dodge (ex-wheelchair with high roof) and I'm trying to find out who made the roof that looks to be about +24". Fiberine tells me it is not one of theirs and it does not match anything on their website. If one of you roof aficionados recognizes the brand please let me know. Thanks!

That's going to be a tough one. There were countless van conversion companies through the 70's/80's and even 90's making random pieces and tops for custom vans, conversion vans, ambulances, all kinds of service vehicles that needed higher tops. Most are now defunct. Many were offshoots of marine fiberglass companies. Your best, and probably only hope is to see if there is a tag from the wheelchair conversion company somewhere, maybe inside the door by VIN plate, that might still be in business. I think you're shooting in the dark though.

It begs the question, who cares? It's a great top, which is essentially a chunk of fiberglass. Enjoy it.

I'd like to find out more about the top's construction in order to better plan the upper cabinets or bunk I plan to add to the structure. Smooth gelcoat finish inside and out masks whatever is in between. Just an inch of foam? Wood frame? How does the wiring run? It would be interesting to know but you're probably right about it being a wild goose chase. Unless someone who has one and knows something chimes in I'm unlikely to find out.

Gotta get my old Gertie in on this one!

I've since repainted the roof with RaptorLiner. Similar colors and style. Search "Gertie" for the thread.

Here's my EB with a Fiberine 22" top. I couldn't be happier with the setup. After having a SMB pop top and now the fixed top I'd never go back. It's convenient, quiet and offers a lot of interior storage.

Also to mention there's no complexity to the top. No springs, actuators, wiring, fuses or other things to go wrong like a pop top.

I'm not so sure I'd want to follow that rig down the highway!
