Hood Louver locations?

Does anyone have measurements for where they mounted their hood louvers? I have a set of the Large that I want to put on my E350 this weekend.

There are multiple threads on louvers in hoods and louvers in fenders depending on what you're looking to accomplish. A simple search on the work Louver will give plenty of reading material.

I can get you measurements of mine if it helps, but I'm guessing you have the long version as opposed to my wide ones?

$10 (pair) plastic vents from Amazon. They release plenty of heat at idle...

Here's my thread. I took the hood off and just started positioning, measuring, marking up, then cut.

Herb
Thanks. I did a search and couldn't find the dimensions I was hoping to.

Great write up! is there any way you could measure the location from the top of the hood? Basically I am looking for top edge of the hood to top edge of the louver and outside edge of the hood to outside edge of the louver.

Thanks!

Here's mine.. I located mine based on where it best made sense based on the underside of the hood... tried to cut out as little as possible.

scummy - may I politely ask the reason for putting in the hood louvers?

If it is for heat dispersion while parked, as mentioned below, then there will be some benefit. There is no heat extraction benefit while moving as there is no air pressure differential above and below the hood.

Exactly as you said, heat dispersion while parked or idling. Plus I like the way they look. My van is black and I bought the flat black louvers.
