Good info, carrinb, thanks! My SMB has the bottom one, which I thought was stock Ford. I really like the 2009 style, which I may look into switching to.

Unfortunately they used to be a dime a dozen on Ebay and in salvage yards. Much harder to find and much more expensive not. I love the newest one as well.

2008 ftw

We like the 2008 style with four full size cup holders. Though there is less storage than the 2009+. Part no. 6C2Z-15115A00-AAA for tan. Fordpartsgiant had it in stock for the best price.

Thanks, Mickerson!

I checked it out and the website said it wouldn't fit my 1998 E250.

Yeah, that’s what they said about mine too, but it fit fine in my 2001. I can get pics for comparison if you need.

I think it was stated earlier that the doghouse itself hasn’t changed in a long time.

I recently ordered a 2009 cover from Lakeland Ford online parts in Florida for my 2004. The pebble color not quite the same as my tan but close enough. I basically filled out the form as a 2009 owner and declined to give a VIN which they emailed me on. Anyway, no trouble with fit. About $180 with shipping. I haven't thrown away the old one yet and trying to give it away.

I'm seriously considering the new Classic and wonder if anyone has compared the driver's side leg room between it and the older E250. How's the leg room on the passenger side?

Thanks!

I'm 6'3" and also suffer from not only too close to the foot pedals but also the seat is too low. I used 1-1/2" Uni-strut to raise the factory seat pedestals 1-1/2" and move them back 3" at maximum extension. This also made a great place to mount our stereo amps, under the pedestal. The seats from the factory when moved all the way forward will only accommodate only a very very small driver.

Thanks, Lilnuts2. I'll look into moving the pedals. That and the new dog house are on my winter to do list.

Just to clarify, Lilnuts2 said to raise the driver side seat pedestal not the pedals.

I have to correct my previous statement. I used 2" tube steel, not uni-strut (senior moment).

The measurement is from where the steering column meets the cowl below, to the edge of the stock 2002 seat.
