Re: Let's talk air bags...

Set the air pressure to get back to unladen ride height.

Re: Let's talk air bags...

No time for formal write up but these are a few pics I snapped. These are uninflated, I'm planning on putting the valves on today.

More unannotated work No time to paint either!

A few photos up I heat stressed the tube. I'm pretty sure it can take the current position unless the van bursts into flames, then I'm pretty sure the airbag lines will be the least of my concern.

Looks good, and I like the gauge idea for keeping an eye on the pressure! ("Jage's Gauges") Where did you order the parts? I see the invoice but not the vendor. Thanks for taking the time to post, and looking forward to the write-up when you get the time.

Re: Let's talk air bags...

Struble Fluid Power here in Denver. They are basically a hydraulic equipment shot; make custom hoses etc. I called EVERYWHERE too. Most places said "we just install a kit" and "nothing in stock". Even the trucker shops don't carry anything. So I drove up to Struble and laid the parts out on the counter, bought 6' extra hose (black).

And yeah, the gauges are so I don't have to keep checking my pressure I can just look. Ultimately I'd like to upgrade to an in cab system, and move the gauges, but for now this will give me a 2-second "everything looks good" check.

Re: Let's talk air bags...

Did you do some other mods you haven't told us about? Looks like you may have some new rear shocks there, either that of you keep the shock bodies really clean. Also, did you lower your sidesteps? Seem lower than I remember.

Are the vitamins for you or the air bags?

Step 1 is "collect a bunch of trash to see what we can do to protect the gauges". The dremmel box won. It's why I have a bin solely for "plastic" bits, large and small.

You should see my water system. But yeah, I haven't been posting much.

When does she get out?

License plates are another thing I save, they're very useful bits of metal- however I'm down to my last plate (the original GA plate from the trailer) which I was going to use for a heat shield before I tried to melt the tubing. Colorado unfortunately either leaves plates in circulation or takes them back, so not a lot of opportunity for salvage here.

Re: Let's talk air bags...

Jage, why did you install two gauges? One for each side? Do you plan to have different pressure for right and left airbag?
